"This international conference offers a rare opportunity to reflect on intercountry adoption as experienced in different countries across the globe," said Gill Haworth OBE, Chairperson of EurAdopt.
Prominent speakers will present from various perspectives, including from the Hague Permanent Bureau, Central Authorities of States of origin and receiving States, accredited bodies, researchers and adoptees.
“Through learning, reflection and discussion, it is our hope that participants will add to their knowledge of intercountry adoption research, practices, procedures and challenges as experienced in different countries. We also hope that it will engender new ideas and perhaps new collaborations which can shape the development of intercountry adoption in the future,” continues Gill Haworth.
The EurAdopt conference is the first of its kind since 2018
The conference runs over two days and provides ample opportunity for professionals, experts, adoptees and anyone with an interest in adoption and family formation to meet and discuss issues of intercountry adoption with the child in focus. At the last conference in Italy in 2018, over 240 participants from different countries participated.
