EurAdopt Conference 2024
The 15 th international conference on adoption will be held on April 17 th and 18 th 2024 in Cambridge,
UK.
The conference is organised by the European association of accredited intercountry adoption
organisations, EurAdopt, in cooperation with Coram IAC, the leading intercountry adoption agency in
the UK.
The theme will be The Generational Impact of Adoption and will explore adoption from
the perspectives of the adoptees, adoptive parents, grandparents and birth siblings within adoptive
families. Researchers and practitioners from Europe and Asia will present new research and
experiences from the perspective of the adoptee, adoptive parents, grandparents and family, as well
as considering the current challenges faced by service users and by agencies. This conference will be
of interest to accredited bodies, adoption central authorities, adoption practitioners (both local and
intercountry), lawyers, academics and those whose lives are touched by adoption.

Rosa Rosnati, Professor of Social Psychology, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan, Italy
Laurie Miller MD, Professor of Paediatrics, Tufts University, USA
Gera Ter Meulen, Researcher and EurAdopt representative from The Netherlands
The venue will be Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge where both the conference and gala dinner will be
held.
Cambridge is a delightful city to explore, with its array of different colleges, some of which date back
to the 13 th century.
The conference is a unique opportunity for professionals, experts, adoptees, adoptive parents and
anyone with an interest in adoption and family formation from around the world to meet and
discuss issues of intercountry adoption with the child in focus.
